Frederick Harry Dorner founded Dorner Company in 1911, six years after he earned a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Wisconsin in 1905. The young Mr. Dorner was an enterprising, visionary sort, and he continued to expand and grow the business right up until his death in 1942, at which point his two sons took over leadership. Growth and expansion of lines over the next 65 years brought new leaders into the Dorner Company, and a new southern location serving Illinois, Indiana and Iowa. The company stayed within the Dorner family until 2007, when a group of long-time Dorner leaders purchased the company. Today, Dorner Company continues to supply unparalleled service to Municipal, Industrial, Power and Paper industries.
In keeping with our founder’s mission of being this industry’s service leader, you can rely on Dorner to provide you with first-in-class equipment, leading edge technology and superior service.
